Deaf Oklahoma Woman Suing Fast Food Restaurant After She was Refused Service
There’s a big update in the case of a deaf woman who says she was denied service at a metro Burger King: Rachel Hollis has hired a legal team to represent her, claiming the restaurant is violating the Americans with Disabilities Act.
“It is too busy, too busy ma’am,” a metro Burger King employee said to Rachel Hollis in the drive-thru.
“It was like I was nobody,” Rachel Hollis said.
Hollis, her attorney Cameron Spradling, and the Oklahoma Disability Law Center say the excuse both unacceptable and illegal.
